This concept is very simple for anyone to do…just like you can sign up for credit cards and get free travel, free hotels, and cash back signup bonuses…you can also sign up for bank accounts and get cash rewards.

All you need to do to earn this bonus is open up a checking or savings account, move your money into that account for the minimum time period…which is typically 60-90 days…then get the bonus, and use that money to go and open up ANOTHER account elsewhere. Repeat, and every step of the way can be worth anywhere from $100-$600 depending on the offer and how much money you have to work with. .

Now of course, there are a few downsides to doing this…they aren’t major, BUT, this is what you need to watch out for:

1. The first is that some banks will require you keep a minimum average balance, otherwise they’ll charge you a maintenance fee. 2. The second downside is that most of these accounts aren’t offering you a 2.25% interest rate like accounts such as Marcus by Goldman Sachs or PNC bank. This means that you LOSE that 2.25% interest rate in exchange for getting a larger cash bonus…however, in almost every circumstance, the short term bonus you get is worth substantially more than the interest you’d get just keeping it in another account. So the net profit is going to be worth it. 3. And finally, this takes a little more time to do this than just signing up for a credit card…opening up a bank account is slightly more involved, not by much if you can do it all online…but it still takes a little work.
